Towing a Bass Boat with Axis 24.1?

Hello everyone. this is my first post on this forum. My husband and I are considering purchasing an Axis or Vegas 24.1
We currently own a 2000 Xplorer Class B Van with a Dodge Engine.
Although I have been following RV forums for years I cannot quite understand all of the towing and weight requirements.

We have a Ranger Bass Boat https://www.rangerboats.com/models.cfm?mid=7333&gid=29 and if I am reading this link correctly the boat weighs 1,925 and the trailer 5,000. I know that the hitch weight on the 2016 24.1 is 8,000 pounds.

Would we be able to tow our boat safely and without problems with one of these RUV's?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Near as I can tell the trailer has a GVWR (Gross Axle Weight Ratings) rating of 5000lb. This is the maximum weight your trailer can handle (including trailer). So as long as the tongue wt is below 500 lb, you should have no problems.

I'd think a bass boat + trailer would weigh in far less than the cars people pull around.

Our car + dolly weights come in a smidge above 4000 lbs and it pulls that with no problem (in addition our 2014 Axis only has the 5000 lb hitch on it).

The fun part would be launching the boat at a ramp! (although that might be a bit easier with the rear camera)

We tow our 23 ft Malibu wakesetter with our 2015 Axis. It does great a bit slow up hills. We launch it with the motorhome too no biggie just remember generator is in back so do go too deep in the water with Axis.
