Who is doing this? How? Toads are new to me and I would appreciate any advice and links to how to do it. Thanks,

Ken

Best to read the Owner's Manual for your vehicle under the "Towing" requirements. Seems the requirements vary significantly between model years. YouTube has a few videos on this also.

I've seen plenty of smart cars towed, and I've heard many also say that they are 'not' towable - but I also believe that just like with most any other vehicle, it depends on the transmission - whether manual versus automatic, and/or the year and model.

I recall checking on their towablility once...
I think that "four-down" was pretty possible...
But this was a while ago.

Motorhome magazine puts out a report on towable cars each year. You can download individual years here: Downloadable Dinghy Towing Guides | MotorHome Magazine

A friend towed a Smart until he sold his RV. He said it towed fine, but didn't care for the limited cargo capacity of that car.
