Both of my disconnects are on the negative terminals. The knife switch wouldn't fit on the positive terminal--they are different sizes.

I believe that you put the switch on - because its a safety issue: If you disconnect the + wire it still could be hot from the converter or the other battery and all the metal around is ground. Simply touching those two together could cause a bunch of problems. No problems with the - cable.

    Hi Jamie,

Seen a lot of dialogue on how best to install a battery disconnect switch (positive or negative)....can you advise how you installed yours - I am about to do my install. Just had a confusing situation with the breaker by the battery tripping and took out radio and generator and no other 12V systems so I was at a loss till I took it in to General RV...grrr!

Hi Jamie, where have you had your chassis serviced locally? I contacted a Ford service center in Dearborn. I want to get the alignment done and steering stabilizer installed as soon as I take delivery.
