Air Force Dude - there are a large number of military campgrounds on the West Coast but Fiddler's Cove RV Park in San Diego maybe one of the most beautiful you'll ever see. It is right on the water on the bay side of Coronado Island Naval Air Station. Make reservations for the time period you're going to be in that area and then cut them back as you need. Again - most beautiful that we have seen.
