Coveman2, Thanks for the comment. Can you tell me some more about your spare tire/rim/mount. I have a spare tire and would like to keep it outside my Thor Compass 23 TR. I don't want to buy a wheel, just keep the spare tire. It fits all six wheels, but takes up a lot of space (under my dining room seat). I would like to wrap it, bag it or somehow protect it from the elements and stick it behind the ladder in back, using the ladder mounts as a base for the spare. I've been under the vehicle several times, looking for a space to mount it beneath the chassis, but can't find any suitable spot. Another thought is to mount it on the roof, but I don't like to mess around on the roof. Another thought is to mount it up front, but don't know what issues that would present, being in the airstream constantly. Any ideas would be appreciated.
