30amp power cable is hot and surge protector has a melted pin. Removed surge protector. What next?

My 30amp power cord coming from shore power is hot and my surge protector has a burnt pin. I deleted both the 30amp extension cable and surge protector. I'm now using the 30amp cable without the extension. What happened? Not sure if it needs to go to shop or not?
