The way I look at it, the longer/wider the slide, the more stress/strain on the slide mechanisms. Not saying that it is inferior or have had issues but its a personal preference to rather have two smaller slides versus one large one to get the desired floor plan. I've been told by dealers who sell both that Winnebago has the higher quality and the forums seem to bear that out too. Winnebago does have an advantage in that all the parts used (except for the Ford underpinnings) are numbered so replacement parts are easier to order. My opinion is at the lower end the delta in quality may not be as huge and in the end for me, it will be a personal decision whether I want to pay the extra $$ for maybe peace of mind

Thanks..excuse my ignorance, why is a full slide an issue for you?...also, from an overall quality standpoint do you see a difference between a Thir and Winnebago?
