Hi Walt. I made the deflector out of a piece of plyable plastic I had in the barn. To be honest, I think the plastic strip was meant to attach to the bottom of a storm door to keep the air from blowing under the door.

At any rate, there is a U-shaped piece of metal that goes along the side of the MH, just below the roof line. I think it covers where edge where the roof material meets the side wall material and makes it weather proof.

So I laid my plastic strip on top of that and attached it with a thin bead of silicone caulking. That worked pretty well but when it rained hard, the water flowed over the plastic and off the edge. Most of it missed the window and fell to the ground, but not all.

So I found a thin piece of aluminum L-angle metal (that was also laying around in the barn) and laid that on top of the plastic with the outer edge away from the MH so that it made a channel for the water to flow in.

And that worked very well. :-)
