Return to factory for warranty work?

I am bringing our DRV back to the factory for some warranty work in a couple weeks. We will be staying in our unit the first night, but mom is not interested in getting up so early every morning while they are doing all the repairs. Anyone have any suggestions for a good, reasonable rate, motel in the area? We plan on touring the area, so it doesn't have to be real close to Howe. Thanks for any help.

DRV can get you a discount at the Holiday INN down the road.

The Holiday Inn and I think the Best Western have corporate rates for DRV customers. If you ask the service department or even the main office, they should know.

Find out what areas of the trailer they will be working on each day and let her sleep in a different area. Let here do what she wants....Happy Wife, Happy Life!

I'll b there next week, hoping my repairs only take a day or so.

Be sure to walk thru your list of repairs with Ed Fry AKA "MR NO" before work is started and simply ask him are you going to fix everything on my list. Don't wait until the job is done and the Tech has to tell you that MR NO did not approve the replacement or repair of something.

Been there and dun that!!!

I hope it goes well, I only have a few issues. I'm trying to b positive about it! Lol

Hey I was too! We traveled from SoCal just to get the work done there and were excited to do so.

Only 3 hour drive for me.

Let us know how it goes and what you think of the place. Since I am out of warranty, won't ever see it now that they aren't working on out-of-warranty units.

Thanks for all the reply's. We will be there on the 24th. Have 19 items on the list so far. Going to stay very positive until they give me a reason not to. Hope all goes well, it's a 1000 mile trip for us.

I have 5 items so far.

Porthole 09-14-2018 03:18 PM

How long did it take to get an appointment?

Did DRV request you go through the dealer first to handle the issues?

And why (who is) does Mr Ed have such negative comments across various platforms? Is he the service manager?

f350ms38rssa 09-14-2018 03:20 PM

I don't trust dealers for repair work. Probably 1.5 months since I set up appt.

And Ed has agreed to fix my issues so far, we will see!

Trusting and capabilities and parts availability are some reasons for me planning to go to Howe.

I have some repairs that I know I will just be better off going to Indiana.

I have hydraulic issues (Lippert), MOR/ryde issues (steps and disc brakes and maybe alignment) and multiple problems that will require parts and r work by the people who built it.

Like my kitchen slide coming apart.
Fireplace drawer
Floor tiles that are under the walls

And paint work

Well I get there Sunday, and they start work Monday. My 3rd ac sensor not working, wifi ranger not working, interference on outside tv. Anderson kantleak valve.

f350ms38rssa 09-14-2018 03:52 PM

And replacing my Winegard satellite dish turret.

wifi ranger - you're lucky if it ever works
