Valve stem delema

Finally warming up in MN to be outside in the sun. I decided to check tire pressures. Started at driver side rear and could only get to the inside tire stem. I can see where the outside tire stem would be. Took the wheel cover off and noticed the outside stem is pointing to the inside instead of the outside. Can I just turn it the way it should be pointed or to I need to take it it? Mind you we drove it home a month ago and parked it. I obviously need to get this corrected. I took a picture.

Thanks
JJ

Yes, just turn it facing out
Suggest you remove it, lubricate it, then re-fasten at the angle you desire

I recently ordered a set off of Amazon so now all 6 valve stems have ez access without removing the rims

Turn the valve stem extension around and tighten the base. The normal valve stem still has a valve inside to prevent leaking. The extension depresses that valve when tightened. IT can leak when the extension is loose.

At your next tire change give some thought to having “dually valves” installed. The outside stem is the shape you want/have but it’s all built into a single metal valve. I.e. you won’t need an extension that has to press the valve on a regular stem and can’t work loose or turn around. One fewer failure point. The inner stem is simply a very long stem (like 8 inches) and protrudes from the outer wheel or cover for convenient access. It also makes using a TPMS system much easier. I’ve had them installed on my last three coaches and consider them well worth the cost.
