The RV panel does not have bonded neutral to ground. It is considered a sub-panel. The generator provides bonded neutral to ground as does shore power.

Use/store switch should be in USE anytime the rig is plugged in or occupied... This allows house batteries to be charged if plugged in or driving, and of course provides 12v power if boondocking....

Everything going off would indicate you had use/store switch in Store position... so genny was powering converter...
