We had the same problem. Took the panel off, where the antennae jack and plug are, above the couch, in the cabinet. We added a piece of 1/2" foam between wall and amplifier box. No more banging.

Appreciate the feedback. We plan on doing the same. I told my wife the white knuckles matched my hair. Having our aligned did help, though. Safe travels.
