I did not replace striker plate on door jam. Although I did after replacing lock fix stricker plate and door jam so I can open door from inside with a screw driver. If I haven't posted photos already...

If it has a steel striker a magnet will stick to it.. The zinc alloy one is not magnetic.

The only thing I know for sure is if u call Trimark p/n 37575-01-k is the redesign with steel plunger.. U can order from Trimark directly for $201.. It may be fairly new because nobody at the repair...
