Thousand Trails Idyllwild, CA

I let the bed rest on the pins. Sometimes it's not the quietest thing in the world. A little grease helps. But the bed does not drop when resting on the pins.

You are 100% correct, there is definitely a reduction in load capacity the further you extend out. I'm not sure if their is an equation to determine what that reduction is.
