Antenna

I also unwrapped the twist tie around the small coil of wire and let it drop down into the cabinet because I knew this would improve the radio reception performance being an Analog Design Engineer with many years of experience in radio circuits.

Since I have a Vegas 25.2 with the bed that extends out the back of the RV, it would be difficult to get to the outside of the RV to use a good antenna system. Actually, I was more concerned with turning the lights off of the receiver front panel so my wife could go to sleep. The forum had the answer to that problem but I will probably just disconnect the radio altogether as I see no need for a radio in the bedroom.

I still wonder what the rational was for Thor to build in a system that would just lead to many customer service issues?
