You're not being thick, you're just expressing what you are experiencing. I will say that your switch does not operate in the same manner as the standard Thor USE/STORE switch. The standard Thor USE/STORE switch looks just like your awning switch above. Your power switch is a spring return single throw switch. I'm not sure that operates any other way than what you have tried to convey in this thread.
