Mine are not welded on. I used a 3" wide 1/4" thick flat bar about 5" long that I drilled and mounted with 2, 5/16" bolts mounting it to the frame. I thine bolted the jack to the plate with 4, 5/16" bolts. Everything was installed with lock nuts.
