After much research we bought two Pedegos and really like them. They are a little pricey but get good reviews and have good customer support with a two year warranty. Another reason is that I wanted a bicycle that I could bring to a brick and mortar store for repairs and service. I have had bad experiences buying certain things online and never getting any help when needed. I broke my brake lever called them I had a new one in 5 days and it was repaired at a Pedego dealer no charge. The problem with Treks is they are a mid drive you must peddle and do not have a throttle only option.

Pedigos are sweet for sure. My wife will probably be on one this year. But I rode a Trek dual sport and was WAY impressed. I would miss the twist grip throttle but I much prefer the Treks more “road bike” like riding position/geometry to Pedigos “beach cruise” upright design. Pedigos seems pretty sold on hub motors but I’m not convinced that it’s better than mid. Probably both are excellent choices and I’m having fun shopping while I save up the required scratch. Also hoping prices come down this spring.
