I think unless you are hearing/feeling some type of slowness or binding/grinding, you probably don't need to worry about.... or if you have your slides deployed for lengthy periods(months) and you have harsh winds and weather that could possibly drive in dirt, dust, grime into the mechanism.

since the slides are CLOSED when traveling, there's no issue for outside elements interacting with the gears or rails... only when deployed.

I have some CRC brand spray lube on hand, but have only used it several times in over 3 years and 80,000 miles and many, many slide extensions and retractions : )

no worries.
