I added a 5" square storage tube in one of the bays, the second bay back on the drivers side. I removed the board on the top left side and saw a lot of wasted space that could be used. For what?? Heck, I dont know but at least it will be available.
only took 1/2 hour to do. I bought a 5" square vinyl post 8' cost $25 at Home depot plus 2 endcaps at $3.67 each. I cut the tube 52" long. Glued one end on, traced the tube on the board I pulled out and cut that out to fit over. On the opposite end I used plumbers hanging tape. Sealed the bay side with silicone and done.
PS: I also have an endcap with a knob for the inside.
