We prefer camping in state and national parks over RV parks, so we've gotten fairly good at getting along without hook ups for as long as a week. A few things we've done to get there

- Upgraded from the very poor OEM batteries (2 12V with a capacity of about 160 amp-hours) to a pair of 6 volt golf cart batteries with a capacity of 220 Amp-hours

- We have a 300 watt portable full sine wave inverter we use for the TV/Blue Ray player. I tapped into the awning circuit to run 12V power to the TV cabinet.

I use SAE plug in connectors instead of the standard cigarette lighter plugs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

- We bought a Coleman stove top coffee pot - its a drip coffee maker that works just like an electric one. A little slower and a little more noise. https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-20000...70_&dpSrc=srch

- We have had a 120 watt solar suitcase charger and just recently installed 200 watts of solar on the roof with a Bogart SC-2030 solar charger. I left a pig tail on the charger wiring so I can plug in the suitcase unit to supplement the roof panels. I have enough wire on it that I can get about 30 ft from the coach and move it around to keep it in the sun.

With the suitcase unit, we would run the generator for less than an hour a day. With the extra solar I'm hoping to not have to run the generator unless DW wants to run her hair dryer. I'm pondering adding two more batteries and a 1500 watt inverter that I can plug into the shore power receptacle when we need AC power.
