Yeah, I think I'd be taking it to a muffler shop. If it were me I'd most likely take it out the back...and as Gritz suggested, I would keep the Genturi design in mind as I did it....(have it exit at a point that can go straight up without conflicting with anything)
My genny tailpipe comes out right under the leading edge of the slide, so I had to rig up an angled adapter to use a genturi....not to mention that when the slide is out, there's a really big gap right to the inside of the rig not too far away from my genny's pipe.
