before you go to all that trouble, try this. Get two thin pieces on plywood, or metal sheet, 4 in wide, and the length of your slide. When the slide is extended, the rollers will be near the cabin wall under the slide. Slide these strips under the roller, all the way to the wall. If it works, screw it down and you are done.
