We had a 2011 pilot (4WD) and could not tow by any method other than a trailer. The 2WD versions should be towable with a dolly as I believe they are FWD. We went through quite an evolution - Pilot couldn't tow any trailer we wanted, so we bought a 2012 Nissan Armada. It towed great but we only got about 175 miles from a tank. 2 years later we moved to a gas Class A and traded the Armada for a Mini Cooper that we dolly towed for another 2 years. DW got really tired of the work involved with the dolly and never did like the Mini. Now we have a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk which we tow 4 down. Hopefully we are now stable.
