Don't laugh I know I'm dating my self and there maybe some here that never seen one except in a picture or grandpa garage.
However I heard some others while at the service bay complaining about their grills and this very problem.

My Camp Chef 2 burner grill came with a removable wind guard and it helps both cut down on the breeze at the cooking surface as well as acts as a splash guard for grease "pops."
