THOR #11425
Office desk surface

I didn't have much use for the Thor-supplied cocktail table that goes between the two front seats in my 2014 Hurricane. But I did need a "home-office" desk. I also needed a place to store it when not in use. (There's no place to store the cocktail table.)

So I used a piece of 3/4" birch plywood, 25" x 36" and finished with poplar edging that I rounded over. But then, to solve the storage issue, I ripped the finished top lengthwise on my tables and then reassembled the two pieces using flush-mounted Butler tray hinges. The top now folds lengthwise so that it's 17" wide. Now it can be stored in any of the wardrobes in the bedroom. I used the flange fitting from the cocktail table.

Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
