Easy way to check both battery systems

In the engine compartment on the drivers side, there is a switch that is responsible for connecting the two battery systems together for using the house battery to start the engine if the chassis battery is too low to crank the engine and it is a very convenient place to monitor both battery systems. There are two large battery cables going to the unit and this is where you can check both batteries for their voltage levels. The top "fat" cable is connected to the house battery and the lower "fat" cable is the chassis battery. They should both measure around 12.6V if everything is working properly (engine off and shore power not connected). There are also connections to the ignition "on" and the Battery tie switch for their operation.

If the battery voltages are OK, then check the 100A protection breakers, one located by the engine battery and one located by the house batteries.
