Satellite antennas require an unbroken path direct to the receiver. The Tailgater is one of those. Unless you have a dedicated satellite connection on the outside, using the cable TV connection goes through a splitter and the receiver can't communicate with the antenna (as it is automatic and requires input from the user/receiver to search for a signal.) You can modify the splitter to work so it does not go through the power booster for the regular antenna. There are several posts on many RV forums about how to do it. An alternative is to just install your own satellite hookup on the outside that runs to your AV location with the receiver.
