In your polite, liberal society, perhaps you can make blanket statements such as that and go unchallenged, but not in mine; I don’t have a liberal bone in my body.
All of my clearance lights are fairly loose in the fibreglass hole and I wouldn't trust them to be watertight. No need to take this discussion off into the weeds.
