Question Fuel filter

Trying to do some preventive maintenance on my '14 Chateau 28A. Crawled under her 3 times already and have been unable to locate the fuel filter on my Ford chassis with a 55 gallon tank. Have traced the lines in the channel with a flashlight (some are marked fuel) with no results. Going to trace generator fuel line tomorrow but I think that goes right to tank due to it's shutting down when fuel reaches a certain level. Think (?) I read somewhere one time it is in fuel tank but doesn't seem like it would make sense to drop a 55 gallon tank on a unit that gets 9 MPG on routine maintenance. Thanks all.
