Moryde pin box

While working on my cap insulation prodject, which I will do a write up on it another day. I noticed that there is a gap in the pin box which allows access to the inside of the underbelly cap. I have filled mine and sealed it. I took my endoscope through another hole in the pin box to view the inside of the under nose and saw what I believe is a mud-wasp home. As well as there is a space with no insulation. Not sure if these are there for venting or something. But I have sealed mine up to keep critters out and maybe from dying in my nose cap smelling the rig up.
