Yes I have notice that blue rays are a lot cheaper. I am a little upset that you pay all that money and they can't put in a decent dvd or blu ray. If I go the aftermarket way I lose the ability of having the sound going through the trailers speakers. I know I can buy a soundbar and that probably will sound better. I just think they could had done much better for not much more. The could have at lest made it Hdmi or composite, but nooo! just on rca cable going to one video connection with the picture and sound quality of an old VCR.
Just saying.
