what would be the best way to mount pegboard to the back of a cupboard or cabinet?

i was thinking of drilling ovals in the pegboard and hanging it on command hooks but not sure this will hold for years and years

i would like to hang some items that weigh a few pounds (up to 6lbs) or perhaps a shelf on this and i dont think the command hooks would be up to it.

i would prefer not to drill holes or screws but will if there is no other way.
