If that were my coach i would clean the mating surfaces then get it dry as i could then apply THIS dicor butyl seal tape. The dicor is sort of like putty in a roll. This is the seal that is used to seal windows, roof vents Etc. Then after installing the fixture and removing whatever dicor seal tape is on the outside i would follow up with a small bead of THIS silicone sealer.
