Is your rig parked outside or inside?
If inside - I would put down some sticky traps and reg. mouse traps/poison on and around the Genny, RV and various spots inside the storage shed if possible.
If outside you have to be more careful.... you might trap a cat or dog or poison them.
I think you will be okay for 5 or 6 mo without starting the Genny as long as you use fuel stabilizer. The one I purchase says it works up to a year.
