The tank on my Vegas 24.1 took 4.4 gallons to get to the full light on the inside gauge, and 80% on the tank gauge.

Now I read on “the google”...An empty 20 lb tank will hold about 4.7 gallons of propane.

Question: Is my tank a 40 lb tank? It says 12 gal on the label

Your spec sheet shows 41 pound tank - 9.6 gallons. If your tank took 4.4 gallons to fill then you were a little over half full to start.
