So you must have a Paul Bunyan grip to lodge the main propane tank valve closed on a newer coach. Since there is gas in the tank you are probably/rightly concerned about taking steps to unlodge the valve with pliers/snipe etc just in case you cause a major failure/leak/fire etc. If the Stealer (Dealer) can’t get you in quickly, have you tried calling “major/reputable” commercial/retail propane only dealers in your location? Not the corner propane shack. You may find that the big guys have expertise in dealing with this situation and may be able to free the valve safely; recover the gas and replace valve/refill for a more reasonable cost/ time frame.
