or you can simple purchase an off-the-shelf power Inverter at W*mt or any auto parts store - simply either plug into your 12v outlet, or use the alligator clips directly to your House batteries... your 'things' just plug into it when you are off-grid and want to make use of your battery power for TV and other 'stuff'...

I would just run the fridge on propane while driving - it's designed for that.
