Sorry dumb of me to think some Thor owners would be dolly towing these 2 types of vehicles and would know. I will know not to ask again.

Smart car owners manual only talks about flat towing not using dolly. Not sure why it would make a difference though. I did read someplace their concern with a dolly is suspension clearance as these are really low. I don't know if that is for loading or after it is on dolly. Clearance for getting on dolly can be fixed using blocks to raise Smart as you drive up. For those who might like to know. I will post how I got it done later when I do it.

Still working on how to do the Jeep.

For electrical battery I think for Smart pull IOD fuse will be easiest tell figure better way. The Jeep probably a cutoff switch on the battery. However if transmission can be left in park and transfer case in neutral the key can be removed no need for battery cut off switch.
