Heading south, I would hit Assateague Island in Maryland, then cross the bridge tunnel into Virginia. Head a bit North to Williamsburg/Yorktown/ Jamestown. Then head south to Kitty Hawk. Then head West to Ashville NC. Then over to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg TN then head to Nashville. These are some of our favorite places. Although we've never hit them all in one trip. Each of these areas has so much to see and do.
