My first response on the Forum. We have had a dinghy tow vehicle and we've had a four down tow vehicle. We towed the car dinghy tow for quite a while. It is very difficult when you get older to wheel that dinghy out there to the back of the motor home. Are our dinghy towed was built by Ace and it weighed 250 to 300 lb. It was very good and very secure. The problem with dinghy tow is it so difficult to set up and drive on and strap down and then you have to check it see if it had come loose so you have to do that periodically and then we had the store the ramps. This process would take anywhere from 25 to 35 minutes. And in the rain it's just an everliving nightmare to hook your car up. Let's move on to four down Towing. We now have tow our Jeep JL 4 down what's the transmission in neutral and the transfer box in neutral. It takes about 10 or 15 minutes with no stress to hook up Jeep up to the motorhome. When you tow 4 down the toad has to have its own braking system, so you have to install a self braking system. The one we installed you don't have to do anything with a car once it's installed, you don't have to position a brake mechanism to push on the brake and take it out each time to store the mechanism . All we do now to activate our braking system is the flip one switch to on, and hook up the emergency Breakaway cable and that's it'. lt's always installed in the car doesn't interfere with the car it's just wonderful. So my advice to you would be to investigate Towing 4 down much simpler much easier you don't have to store anything there's so many reasons anyway enjoy the Jeep, Jeeps are wonderful
