I do have a pressure regulator set at 45 psi. When we went camping last week immediately the tank overflowed. I added an external check valve after the pump but the pump will not shut off.
Anyone else have this problem or how to resolve this?
The external check valve goes between the tank and the pump; not after the pump or the pump will run continually. The pump has two adjustments one for pressure relief and another for max pressure. These adjustments are separate from the anti-back flow valve. You don't have to replace the entire pump if the motor is still turning, only the pressure head.
