Check out “Military Campgrounds and RV Parks”. There are a lot of great campgrounds, called Famcamps, at military bases and posts. As a DoD retired civilian I can and have used some of them. That site is a great resource. Too bad I didn’t see your post earlier. I’ve stayed at Kings Bay NB and Patrick AFB. They would have been on your way south to FL.
