most of the time the chassis has a time out , that lets the pcm go to sleep,.. but, what I have found is that gets disturbed when they start doing after market radios and such, and wiring direct to battery,..if you check for parasitic , you need to do so after the pcm goes nite nite, or you will get a real high reading... usually about an hour and you will see a big drop..
