Valve stem dilemma

Finally warming up in MN to be outside in the sun. I decided to check tire pressures. Started at driver side rear and could only get to the inside tire stem. I can see where the outside tire stem would be. Took the wheel cover off and noticed the outside stem is pointing to the inside instead of the outside. Can I just turn it the way it should be pointed or to I need to take it it? Mind you we drove it home a month ago and parked it. I obviously need to get this corrected. I took a picture.

Thanks
JJ
