The wiring and GoPower controller that typically comes installed is a PWM-30 (~70% efficient vs MPPT style ~95% efficient) and will support up to about 400 watts of solar (two GoPower 170 watt monocrystaline panels or other equiv), which with a couple of 6 volt golf cart batteries (four if you have room) to replace your two stock 12 volt batteries will give you decent boondocking capability.
If you "start small" (like a single 100 watt panel) it is important that your first panel be the same (open voltage and current) as what you plan to add in the future because like batteries, and chains, your voltage and current are limited by the weakest link.
Regardless of what you do, every factory installed controller I've seen has come set for AGM batteries and not Flooded, so you will need to check the settings and adjust as required in order to get the best life/performance out of them.
