Hey Don, I'm curious which door on your trailer wouldn't stay open. I have had troubles with the door-side compartment door. I "assumed" one of my gas springs was shot or defective and I bought a new set of the SAME springs to replace the "bad" one.
Turns out the original springs were ok, at that point I figured maybe I had water intrusion and the extra weight was the cause of my door issue so I tried to re-caulk the seams on the door. I'm still having an issue with that door, it "barely" stays up when I open it.
I'm thinking I might buy another replacement set a little stronger this time.
