This seems like a reasonable shortcut. Unfortunately, we have a “princess and the pea” situation in our household, and an extra seam across the sheets wouldn’t cut it. And I have to admit that the perfectionist in me likes the finished look after disassembling and reassembling the fitted sheet. Takes about 30 minutes, and modest sewing skills. If anyone is interested in trying it, I’d gladly walk you through it.
