I could only say that it sounds like you have your terms backwards, as charging the HOUSE batteries would have nothing to do with starting your Vehicle. As most RVs have two sets of batteries, and sometimes, like mine, they are actually both in the SAME storage bay, you may be referring to the incorrect one/pair as 'dead'.
