Small air conditioning unit in garage

I have the same rig. It is only a 5000BTU unit and is on a 15A circuit by itself in the coach. It will run off an outside 15A circuit..... it only draws about 5A. My question is why do you want to do that and not off the shore power inside the rig?

I even ran mine off the Inverter by running an extension cord from the TV outlet in the garage and turning on the Inverter just to see if a 1000W Inverter could do it...... and it did.
